Natural light in the 10'x10' greenhouse-studio behind the garage is where many pieces are created. Light energy motivates me to respond to colors all around. I'm a creative being. Whenever and wherever I go, my travel watercolor sets are already packed, ready to go. Simply seeking JOY as a child likes to play, Painting is mindful childlike joy.

Biography

Minnesota, USA is home. Educated in public school pre-K-12. Attended SCSU, University of Minnesota Minneapolis, and University of St. Thomas. Crayon childhood, colored pencil birthday card teen years, painting is natural. Parents, both educators, summer travels opened my mind, beauty in nature inspired my spirit, and illustrated books opened my heart to communicate with pictures.  Art education is the calling that gives and receives thoughts, ideas, and mindful awareness.  I live the simple truth that art is in the heart.  I am an art educator and creative.
